Colored stripes on the belt…

Ever wonder what the colored stripes are on the belt? It represents the month you’ll first be eligible to test for your next rank. Question about requirements?

If you have a high red belt with a colored stripe, the color represents the month of the first black cycle you can participate in.

During each belt cycle, we have an evaluation week one week each month.  That is when we add colored stripes to determine eligibility and that is the only time we stripe test students.  These weeks are called Evaluation Weeks.  Watch the calendar for more information.
