These are the steps and procedures that will be in place as you attend class.

  1. Stay in your vehicle until you are advised to come to the door.
  2. Remain six feet apart from other people that are not in your household.
  3. You will need to follow all instructions given by the attendants or instructors.
  4. No spectators will be allowed during classes.
  5. No equipment or gear bags will be allowed.
  6. Please wear shoes you can slip on and off. You will not be admitted if you are not wearing shoes.
  7. Please bring a filled water bottle with you if you require a drink after class. There will be no water fountain available nor drinks or snacks for purchase during this time.
  8. Please use the restroom before you arrive and come ready for class. We understand there are some emergencies but we want to make it safe for everyone and the constant cleaning takes us away from being able to offer attention to the class on the floor and the class on zoom.
9. Masks are recommended. We are following the Guidelines for Athletic Facilities shared by the Alabama Department of Public Health. You can find them at the bottom of this page. We understand this is inconvenient and can be prohibitive. We will be sharing options for masks. Each of the instructors and assistants will be wearing them.
  10. Students who cannot tie their own belts are asked to leave them at home.
  11. Classes must be prescheduled. Please do not just show up for classes. There will be procedures in place.
  12. You do not need to pre-register if you plan on doing the Zoom classes!
  13. If you register for a class and don’t show up, because you have taken the spot away from another student, there will be a $10 penalty for not cancelling before 2:00 pm each day.
  14. Students will not be using the check in station, we will be checking them in for them.
  15. You will need to sign a digital COVID-19 WAIVER.
  16. Wear your uniform to class with your SCS Tee or Gi Top. No Shorts.
  17. Each time you attend class, you will need to answer the following questions: a) Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19? b) Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath or sore throat? c) Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours? d) Are you immunocompromised or do you live with someone who is immunocompromised? You must answer no to all of these questions before you can attend class. We will be checking at the door. Please help your children understand these questions.
  18. You will be admitted and dismissed in an organized manner. Please follow all directions.
  19. Students should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to class. They should remain in the vehicle until we can process them. See safety procedures.
  20. No one may arrive late to class in order to preserve the safety procedures we have in place and the careful planning it takes to organize the class. Arriving late to class not only disrupts the class, it requires us to change our safety protocols.
  21. We reserve the right to add to these policies and procedures as we deem necessary.
